Daughter of Matthew and Ruth (Stevens) Hale of Glastonbury, CT. Birthdate taken from family copy of Hale Family Bible records. Married to Augustus Gillett on 7 Feb 1813 in Glastonbury, CT. According to obituary, moved to Putnam, Ohio in 1837 and St. Louis in 1846.

1850 - St. Louis, Missouri in household of daughter Charlotte's family with daughter Anna and son Albert in household.
1860 - St Louis, Missouri with daughter Charlotte's family

Six known children of which four known to have survived to adulthood:
Charlotte (Gillett) Pease Scarritt,
Albert Hale Gillett, (died in Montgomery, AL)
Anna (Gillett) Scarritt, and
Jane Urania (Gillett) Curtis.

Note - Source for the spousal link to the Augustus who died in 1860 in Massachusetts is from the DAR (Daughters of American Revolution) application of his g-granddaughter. If true, it appears Charlotte and her children lived separately from him from 1840 on.
