John D. Thomas

John D. Thomas, 50, 424 E. High, died Monday at a Topeka hospital after a long illness. He had been a patient in the hospital since Sept. 28.
He was born July 9, 1931, at Koshkonong, Mo., the son of Jim and Lula Osborn Thomas. He moved to Topeka in 1955 from West Plains, Mo. He was a mechanic.

He was married to Mildred Patterson June 15, 1970, in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Ronald Dean Thomas, Topeka; five daughters, Linda Sue Thomas, Delphia Lafe Thomas, Mrs. Vickie Origer and Debra Jo Thomas, all in Topeka, and Mrs. Bobby Jean Shaw, Denver, Colo.; a stepson, Raymond K. Meade, Topeka; three stepdaughters, Millie Meade, Abliene, Mrs. Gale Stauffer, Topeka, and Mrs. Carolyn Sue Thomas, Topeka; two brothers, Billy Joe Thomas, Topeka, and Paul Thomas, St. Louis, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Veda May Bradford, West Plains, Mo., Mrs. Vera Faye Ward, Topeka, and Mrs. Norma Lee Buffell, Rockford, Ill.; and 14 grandchildren.
