Frances Kahler, 88, Quinter, died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care, Quinter.
She was born Feb. 26, 1923, in Gove County to William and Anna (Bittel) Lang.
She married Phillip J. Kahler on July 27, 1941. He preceded her in death April 4, 1996.
Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Brown, Quinter; a sister, Nellie Goetz, Salina; a grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Collyer; burial in St. Michael Cemetery, Collyer. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Quinter Senior Citizen Center or St. Michael Catholic Church in care of the Schmitt Funeral Home, 901 S. Main, Quinter, KS 67752.
