Miss Cora L. Edwards, a resident of 517 Sixth Ave., NW passed away at the Rice County District One Hospital in Faribault on Thursday afternoon, June 16, following an illness of the past year. Funeral services will be held at the First Methodist Church in Faribault on Monday afternoon, June 20, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ray Harkness officiating. Interment will be in the family lot in the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.
Miss Edwards is survived by two brothers, Jerry C. Edwards of Peoria, Ill. and Ira S. Edwards of St. Louis Park; a niece, several nephews and other relatives. Miss Edwards spent the greater part of her life teaching school. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Faribault and she had been a very active member of the Charter Oak Chapter-Daughters of the American Revolution, having served in various offices including that of regent. She had also been a member of the Minnesota Education Association. Friends may call at the Parker Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon and evening and on Monday morning.
