Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday for one hour prior to services.
Barbara Daisy Baggenstoss, the daughter of Alexander and Gertrude (Madden) Baggenstoss, was born on September 29, 1925 in Albany, MN. She attended Albany High School and graduated with the class of 1944. After high school Daisy
continued her education by attending nurses training. On June 6, 1945 she was united in marriage to Donald C. Donkers in Hayes, Kansas. Mr. Donkers preceded her in death on September 25, 1981. Daisy worked as a Nurse's Aid for over 37 years, starting at St. Lucas Care Center and finishing her career at the Northfield Retirement Center after 22 years of service there. Daisy enjoyed crocheting, working jigsaw puzzles, a good cup of coffee and especially enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by eight children; by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Erna Davis and June Everson and eight brothers, Vernon, Harold, Elwin, Gordon, Jacob, Lloyd, Graydon and Louis Baggenstoss.
