Died Sunday morning, Aug.13, at the Veterans Hospital in Alexandria. A resident of 1951 Tulip, he was a 78-year old native of Baton Rouge and a veteran of World War I. Body to be at Rabenhorst with calling hours 2p.m. to 10p.m. Tuesday and 8a.m. to 11a.m. Wednesday. Religious services at Rabenhorst Chapel 11a.m. Wednesday, conducted by Rev. J. C. Clement. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Louis H. Heath Jr., Claude W. Boutte, Frank M. Chance, Jon Richard Chance, Ralph Dane Heath, and Gerald S. Montgomery. Survived by his wife the former Velma Felps; three daughters, Mrs. Frank M. Chance Jr.,Clarence; Mrs. Louis H. Heath Jr.Houston, Mrs. Claude W. Boutte Jr.Alexandria; one son, Leslie Wayne Chance Jr.,Venezuela, and 17 grandchildren. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and Nicholson Post No. 38 of the American Legion.
