Funeral services for Brice K. Callahan, 90, of Sallisaw, are being held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw, with the Rev. Robert L. Polvado officiating.
Burial is in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He was born on April 4, 1914, in Drakes Prairie, to Benjamin Paten Callahan and Sarah Elizabeth (Shook) Callahan. He died on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Mr. Callahan was a self-employed worker for Brice's Plumbing and Ken's Plumbing in Sallisaw and longtime member, Sunday school superintendent, bus driver and deacon for over 50 years at First Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw.
He married Eutha Callahan on Dec. 5, 1933, in McKey.
Survivors include his wife, Eutha Callahan of the home; one daughter, Patsy Rogers of Lake Charles, La.; one son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Mildred Callahan of Sallisaw; one sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Joe Brooks of Sallisaw; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Bonnie Callahan of Amber and Bill and Wynema Callahan of Hulbert; six grandchildren, Phillip Rogers of Owasso, Patty Brown of Pineville, La., Greg Callahan of Fort Smith, Ark., Kendall Callahan of Iola, Kan., Brad Callahan of Sallisaw and Chris Callahan of Oklahoma City; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother-in-law, Coy Maynard of Bakersfield, Calif.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Gladness, Leon, Nettie and Venia and three brothers, Sammy, Roy and Paten.
Pallbearers are Phillip Rogers, Greg Callahan, Kendall Callahan, Brad Callahan, Chris Callahan and Andy Brown.
Honorary pallbearers are Herb Pierce, Frank Weatherford, Leslie Tatham, Arnold O'Neal, Bill Wilson, Dennis Sprouse and Wayne Land.
