Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on January 17, 1926 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Elizabeth (Shook) Callahan and Benjamin Callahan and passed away on November 11, 2020 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Joe Dean Brooks on February 18, 1943 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2015. Mrs. Brooks was a cook for Mars Cafe and was renowned for her coconut pies.

2 daughters: Linda McKinney and Mike of Sallisaw, OK and Donna Kury of Sallisaw, OK;
4 sons: Rex Brooks of Sallisaw, OK, Jim Brooks and Takie of Sallisaw, OK, Eddie Joe Brooks and Sylvia of Sallisaw, OK and Clifton Brooks and Debbie of Sallisaw, OK;
12 grandchildren: Rex Dale Brooks, Todd Wayne McKinney, Timmy McKinney, Mike McKinney, Gary Dale Brooks, Jimie Williams, Jason Brooks, Nathan Brooks, Joe Davis Brooks, Kathy Ozeroglu, Justin Brooks and Cody Brooks;
