Funeral services for Raymond V. CALLAHAN, 82, of Amber, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the First Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw with Revs. Robert L. Polvado and Randy Perry officiating. Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. CALLAHAN was born June 10, 1923, in Drakes Prairie, to Benjamin CALLAHAN and Elizabeth (SHOOK) CALLAHAN. He died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, in Amber. He married Bonnie Mable ALLEN Feb. 17, 1940, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters, Barbara and Shirley Kay; seven sons, Ben, Virgil Dean and Billy, Wesley, Charlie, John and Frank; 29 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchilldren; one brother, Bill; and one sister, Juanita. He was preceded in death by one son, J.R. CALLAHAN.
