Central City Rites For Harry A. Waters
Harry Alvin Waters, 75, died in a Cedar Rapids hospital Sunday morning following a prolonged illness.
Mr. Waters was born October 19, 1893, at Walker. He lived in the Central City community all of his life.
He was married to Madge Moore August 15, 1932, at Manchester. Mr. Waters was a member of the Methodist church at Coggon.
He is survived by his wife: three sons, Edgar L. of Cedar Rapids, Rolan J. of Marion, Willard at home; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Melissa Beebe of Central City; four brothers, Walter of College Park, Maryland, Chester of Marion, Merle and Thomas of Coggon.
Services will be held Tuesday at the United Church of Christ at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gene Burry officiating. Burial: Oak Hill cemetery. Friends may call at Baxter Memorial Chapel, Marion, Monday evening and at the church after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
