Mrs. Anna Fortman
MINSTER - Mrs. Anna Fortman, 80, widow of John Fortman, died at 2 p.m. Monday in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thieman, after a lengthy illness.
A lifelong resident here, she is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Thieman; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Albers, Maria Stein, Mrs. Elizabeth Otte, Guadalupe; and Miss Bernadine Roettgerman, Minster; two brothers, Frank and Bernard Roettgerman, Minster. Her husband, whom she married in 1895, died in 1950.
She was a member of the St. Monica Sodality of the church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Augustine's Catholic Church with the Rev. William Meyer celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Thieman residence, one mile north of Minster on Route 119, Tuesday evening and until the services. Arrangements are in charge of the Hogenkamp Funeral Home.
