Patty Jo Stone, 62, Peru, died at 9:12 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004 at Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso due to pneumonia and emphysema. She was born Feb. 19, 1941 in Miami County to John and Clara Trobaugh Clelland. She had four siblings: Ruth Maxine Clelland Townsend (1934-1975), Robert WEldon Clelland (1936-2003), Dorothy A. Clelland VanScoy (1938-2007), and Nancy L. Clelland Mills Baker (1944-).
She married Ronald Ivan Hartleroad on November 29, 1955 and together they had Ross Hartleroad. She married Ralph Robert Stone about 1962, and to their union they had four children: Ralph Robert Stone, II, Randy Stone, Hope R. Stone Sielek Tolliever, and Faith Stone. Lastly, she married Edward "Monk" Binion on August 24, 1974. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Ross Hartleroad, and Ralph and Randy Stone, all of Peru; two daughters, Hope Tolliver and Faith Stone, both of Peru; two sisters, Dorothy VanScoy, Arizona, and Nancy Baker, Crete, Ill.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Robert Clelland, and a sister, Ruth Townsend.
