Ronald Ivan Hartleroad, 60, 1165 W. Canal Street, died at 2:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 1999 at his residence due to a myocardial infarction (heart attack).
He was born May 16, 1938 in Peru, to Eldo and Dessie Mobley Hartleroad. He married Patty Jo Clelland on November 29, 1955 in Peru, Miami County, Indiana. To this union, they had one son, Ross Hartleroad.
Mr. Hartleroad then married Carrie Bowman on February 11, 1967. and she survives. They had four children together: Ron, Sam, Sandy, and Dessie.
He was a retired construction worker.
He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Moose Lodge, and Veterans of Foreign Wars in Peru.
Other survivors include three sons: Ross Hartleroad, Peru, Ron Hartleroad, Spencer Oaklahoma, and Sam Hartleroad, Fairfield, Ohio; two daughters, Sandy Caksackka, Fulton, Kentucky, and Dessive Vaughn, Peru; one brother, Ralph Hartleroad, Peru; six sisters, Betty Davis, Texas, Iona Davis, Indiana, Leona Dillman, Indiana, Naomi Hartman, Peru, Carol Townsend, Peru, and Rita Long, Kewanna; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Two brothers are deceased.
Services will be conducted at 11:00 jja.m. today at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third Street. Visitation hours are from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. today.
