Mabel A. Schuster, 93, of Kahoka, died Friday, September 22, 1995, at Keokuk Area Hospital.
She was born May 28, 1902 in Clark County, Missouri, the daughter of Abe and Luella Cook Barrows.
She married Raymond W. Schuster on November 20, 1921 at Monticello. He preceded her in death March 21, 1972.
Survivors include four sons, Leland and his wife, Edna of Kahoka, Richard and his wife, Gayleen of Memphis, Franklin and his wife, Helen, of Keokuk, Iowa, and Gale and his wife Jean, of West Point, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Roberta Rule of Montrose, Iowa; a sister, Margaret Westbrook of Queen City; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 2 step great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and one step great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Lee and Wayne Barrows, three sisters, Georgetta Wood, Florence Walker, and Stella Colter and a grandson, Steven Schuster.
Schuster had been a homemaker and had farmed with her husband near Wyaconda. She had lived in Kahoka since 1989. She was a member of the Wyaconda Church and formerly of the Christian Women's Fellowship.
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 24 at the Wyaconda Christian Church with Rev. E. Emerson Brokaw officiating. Mrs. Phyllis Hutchinson was organist with Mathew Eder, soloist.
Pallbearers were Brad Schuster, Larry Francy, Robert Colter, Dean Wood, Stuart Wood and Guy Barrows.
Arrangements were handled by Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka.
