LAST SAD RITES

Thara Abbott Barrows was born in Clark Co. Missouri near Williamstown on April 25, 1869, the son of L.H. and C.A. Barrows, pioneers of Clark Co.
Death came as the result of pneumonia at 7:00 am on March 5, at his home west of Kahoka. Mr. Barrows had not been sick long and his death was a shock to the community.

He was married to Luella Cook of Kahoka, Feb. 9, 1892. Their residence was established in Clark County and remained here permanently.

Mrs. Barrows, Mrs. J.B. Wood of Revere, Mrs. J.T. Colter of Wyacondah, Lee A. Barrows of Elmdale Kans., Mrs. Bernie Westbrook of Lancaster, Mo., and Wayne H. Barrows of Kahoka, the immediate family are well known in Clark County and have the sincere sympathy of all.

Fourteen grandchildren and other relatives also mourn their loss. Mrs. J.D. Moore of Newark, Mo., Guy Barrows of Dallas City, Illinois and L. C. Barrows of California are all who remain of Mr. Barrow's brothers and sisters. H.W. Barrows, a brother died in 1926.

Mr. Barrows has been a member of the Honey Creek Congregational Church since young manhood.

Funeral services were held from the Baptist Church, at Kahoka, conducted by Rev. D.F. Bartine, Friday at 11 o'clock, afterwhich the body was interred in the Kahoka Cemetery.

T.A. BARROWS DIES SUDDENLY

The sad news rapidly spread of the sudden death of T. A. Barrows, Tues. morning, March 4, 1930 at 7 o'clock after a few days illness with pneumonia at his home a few miles northwest of Kahoka. On Feb. 25th he contracted a cold which grew worse and terminated in pneumonia.

Deceased was a good and kind hearted man, a devoted husband, and father.
The funeral will be held from the Baptist Church, Friday forenoon at 11:00 o'clock.
