Margaret Westbrook, one of seven children born to Thara Abott and Luella (Cook) Barrows, was born February 22, 1907, near Kahoka, Mo. and died Sunday November 5, 1995, in Schuyler County Nursing Home at the age of 88 years.
She was married to Chester "Bernie" Mills Westbrook on April 26, 1926, in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Iris Jean White; one grandson Jamie Jarvis; four sisters, Georetta Wood, Stella Colter, Florence Walker and Mabel Schuster; and two brothers, Levi Barrows and Wayne Barrows.
Surviving are one son, K.L. Westbrook, Lancaster; one granddaughter Mrs. Frank (Karen) Jarvis, Fairfield, Ia.; one grandson Rick White, Agency, Ia.; four great grandchildren, Jesse Jarvis, Heather Miller, James White and Ashley White; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Mrs. Westbrook lived all her married life in the Lancaster area.
She was a member of Lancaster Christian Church.
Services will be held Wednesday, November 8, 1995, at 2:00 p.m., in Norman Funeral Chapel, Lancaster, with Pastor Brent Fleshman officiating.
Bearers will be her nephews, Craig Walker, Lester Barrows, Leland Schuster, Robert Colter, and Steward Woods.
Burial will be in Arni Memorial Cemetery.
