Harry Luther Poole, 47, of Gettysburg, died Sunday at Bethesda Naval Hospital. He was the son of Walter S. Poole of Dickerson, Md., and the late Mabel R. Poole.

He had spent the past several years in Pennsylvania and was formerly employed at the Warner Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Good Conduct medals. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Gettysburg.

He is survived by seven sisters, Mrs. Mildred Stottlemyer, Mrs. Eleanor Clements, Mrs. Gladys Rachel, Mrs. Blanche Jeffers, all of Dickerson: Mrs. Jesse Gibson, of Wheaton, Md.; Mrs. Helen Collins of Berwyn Heights and Mrs. Dorothy Linthicum, Hyattstown, Md., and a brother, Raymond E. Poole. Germantown. Md.

Friends may call at the Hilton Funeral Home in Barnesville. Md today and Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.. where services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery.
