Mrs. Daniel Oxenrider was buried yesterday. We hope to print a more particular account of her life and death next week.

Elizabeth (Schartzer) Oxenrider was born in the state of Pennsylvania on January 21, 1829. She was the second child of Philip and Mary Schartzer, who were the parents of fifteen children. They moved from Lancaster county, Penn. to Wayne county, O.,when she was but a small child; and it was in that county that she grew to womanhood and in 1847 married Daniel Oxenrider. A few years later they moved to this county, where they continued to reside until death. To this union were born twelve children, of which eight, __________ together with nine brothers and sisters and a host of friends remain to mourn the loss of the mother, which occurred on July 1st, 1901, after a life of over three score and ten years coupled with many sorrows and cares. The funeral services were conducted from the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Dewees, by H.E. Oldacre of the Church of Christ, at this place. She was laid to rest by the side of her husband in the Fountain Grove cemetery.

Her parents moved from Lancaster County, Penn., to Wayne county, O., when she was but a child, where she grew to womanhood and was married to Daniel Oxenrider in the year 1847. Six or seven years afterward they moved to this Williams county, O., being about the year 1854, where they continued to reside until their death, which in her case was nearly half a century. To this union were born 12 children, four of whom together with the husband and father have already fallen asleep, while 8 children and 20 grandchildren together with 9 brothers and sisters and a host of relatives and friends remain to mourn their loss. On July 1st, 1901, after a long life of more than three score years and ten, and many cares and sorrows she fell asleep, aged 72 years, 5 months and 10 days. The funeral was held on Wednesday, July 3rd, from the home of her son-in-law, Mr. Amos Dewees. The funeral services were conducted by H.E. Oldacre, of Bryan, O. The scriptures read and commented on were I Cor., 15th chapter, and she was laid to rest in the Fountain Grove cemetery.
