Rockville, March 17 - Dr. Lewis F. Brooks, 65, well-known veterinary surgeon, died Thursday night at his home at Poolesville, of paralysis.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Katherine Brooks, formerly of Woodstock, Va., and the following sons and daughters: Boyd S. Brooks, Baltimore; Leo F. and Miss Beulah M. Brooks, Washington; Mrs. J. H. Snyder, Old Town, MD; Miss Elsie M. Brooks, Rockville; Mrs. H.L. Shepherd, St. Petersburg, Fla, and Miss Margaret E. James E. and Harold C. Brooks of Poolesville. He also leaves three brothers, Benjamin and Harry Brooks, of Martinsburg, W. Va., and John W. Brooks, of Worthington, W. Va.

Funeral at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Episcopal church, South, at Poolesville, burial to be in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville. Dr. Brooks was a native of Shenandoah county, Va. He had lived at Poolesville twenty-eight years.
