Today we say goodbye to a wonderful man, who touched so many lives. His kind heart and warm, handsome smile will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
Blaine was born October 22, 1921 in Newton, Utah to Eugene and Christina H. Nelson. He proudly served his country in World War II, in the U.S. Marine Corps. Married Colleen Bird June 21, 1947-they shared a life filled with great friends, wonderful family, and lots of laughter until her death in 1991.
He is survived by his daughters, Janet (Galyn) Atkinson, and Jill Payne; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Erma Heap, Afton Cowan, Edries Hansen, Dorene Haycock, Vaudis Temple and many loving in-laws.
"WE LOVE YOU, DAD"
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 10, 1995 at 2 p.m. Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
