from the Republican for Dec. 1, 1927:

Lizton - James Armstrong, aged 62, passed away at his home, Sunday evening. He had been afflicted with lung trouble for several years but had walked to the home of his sister, Mrs. John Scott, and spent the day, returning in the evening, he was alone as his son, Loren, and his wife, recently married, had gone to town on an errand. On their return they found he had been seized with a hemorrhage and life was extinct. Three daughters, Mrs. Effel Martin, a patient in the Rockville sanatorium, Mrs. Warren Pigg and Mrs. Opal Scott, beside the son, Loren, survive. Funeral services were conducted at the home, Tuesday, at 10 a. m. by the Rev. Fruits. Burial was in Montgomery cemetery beside his wife, who preceded him by several years.
