The Bear Paw Mountaineer (MT), 2 May 1918

Young Boy Departs Life

A very sad death occurred Monday afternoon about 2:30 o'clock, was that of Odmar, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Brende. The little fellow had been ailing but a few days with the grippe and was not thought to be in a dangerous condition, and was thought to be getting better, when the end came. The little fellow was three years of age, and as near as we can learn, he passed away on his birthday.

Odmar was the eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Brende, who set much store by the little fellow, and their grief at his sudden taking away is almost inconsolable. He was a bright, friendly little fellow and was admired by all with whom he came in contact. Mr. and Mrs. Brende have the sincere sympathy of the entire community.

Funeral was held from the family residence at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, and the little body was laid to rest in the Big Sandy cemetery.
