Article from the Waconia Patriot newspaper dated March 1, 1912:

Miss Emma Maass, one of the worthy and highly accomplished young ladies of this vicinity, was joined in wedlock to Mr. Charles Bruhn, Jr., at the home of Charles Bruhn, Sr., on Tuesday, February 13th. The Reverend E. H. Heinemann of the German Baptist Church officiating at the services. The ceremony was performed in the presence of only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties. The bride was attended by the Misses Laura and Lillie Bruhn, while the groom was attended by his brother, Ben Bruhn and John Maass, Jr.

The fair young bride is the only daughter of our honored citizen, Mr. John Maass, Sr., and is a cultured young lady and a young woman much respected in the home circle. The groom is the oldest son of our respected residents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bruhn, Sr., and is a young man of steady habits and promise, being in the blacksmith business in this village and is making good. We congratulate them heartily and hope the future may bring them a full measure of success and bliss.

The following out-of-town friends and relatives were present: Mr. and Mrs. F. Mergen of Frazee, Minnesota, Mrs. A. Lange of Anoka, Minnesota, Mrs. F. Schultz and Miss Pearl Monitor of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Frye of Minneapolis, Mrs. F. Maxwell and family of Excelsior, and Fred Fink and John Ripple and families of near Victoria.
