A boy arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles, Jr., last Saturday. The little fellow weighs 11 pounds. Ma and pa feel highly elated over the future prospects of the little boy.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 30, 1990 for Vernon Bruhn, 73, of Waconia, Minnesota. He died Thursday, April 26, 1990 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. He was born May 20, 1916, at St. Bonifacius, Minnesota, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bruhn (nee Emma R. Maass).

He was a graduate of Mound High School, graduate of University of Minnesota where he played baseball, was a vocational agricultural instructor in Waconia High School for 30 years. Also taught in the St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, Lakeville and New Prague school systems.

He was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Emma Bruhn; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William F. and Ida Odell.

He is survived by wife, Ruth (nee Odell); brothers and sister-in-laws, Milton and Helen Bruhn of Madison, Wisconsin, Earl and Elaine Bruhn of Owatonna; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George and Shirley Odell of Chaska, Wallace Odell of Elk River, Richard Odell of Elk River, David and Patricia Odell of Richfield; nieces and nephews.

Chapel service Sunday, April 29 at 7 p.m. from Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia. Funeral services were held Monday, April 30 at 11 a.m. from Minnetrista Baptist Church, St. Bonifacius, Minnesota, the Reverend Kenneth Unruh officiated. Organist for the funeral service was Kelli Timm. The soloist Roger Sauter sang "Until Then" and "For Those Tears I Died." Congregational hymns were "Amazing Grace". Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Chaska, Minnesota. Casketbearers: nephews, Peter Bruhn, Tom Bruhn, Dale Johnson, David Odell, John Odell and Robert Odell.
