Services were held last Saturday morning at ten o'clock at the Saint Boniface Catholic Church for Mrs. Louis Gothmann (Dora Bruhn). The last rites were attended by friends and relatives of the family. Interment was in the St. Boniface Catholic cemetery. The pallbearers were Milton Bruhn, Gordon Krotzer, Jerome Gothmann, Wilfred Pauly of Chaska, Christian Campbell of Watertown, and Charles Grochen of Mound.
Mrs. Gothmann, nee Dora Bruhn, was born on April 28, 1902, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bruhn on the farm located one-half mile southeast of St. Bonifacius. She attended the St. Bonifacius public school and made her home on her father's farm near St. Bonifacius. On September 6, 1919, she was united in marriage with Louis Gothmann in Minneapolis, and they made their home in Minneapolis for one year. Coming to this community about seventeen years ago, the family made their home on the Henry Gothmann farm located one-half mile north of St. Bonifacius. Six children, three sons and three daughters were the issue of this union, who with the husband and other relatives mourn her departure. Mrs. Gothmann was ill for only four days and passed away at Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis on July 22nd at 4 a.m. of peritonitis, at the age of 35 years, 2 months and 24 days.
Surviving are the bereaved husband; six children, Marva, Kenneth, Vernon, Bernice, James, Phyllis; three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Charles Krotzer, Mrs. Joseph Pauly of Chaska, Mrs. Joseph Weiland, Ben Bruhn and Charles Bruhn, and a host of other relatives and friends. Her brother, William Bruhn, passed away about eight years ago.
The many friends extend sympathy to the relatives in their great loss.
