Wayne H. Peters, age 70, a resident of Fredericksburg for ten years, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004 in a Kerrville hospital. He was born April 11, 1934 in Broken Arrow, OK to Joel and Frances Irene (Epps) Peters. On Nov. 24, 1956, he married Irene Kosak in Beloit, Wis.

Mr. Peters served in the military for four years, was a project engineer in the paper industry, part owner of Too Goods Restaurant and member of Notre Dame Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by Wife, Irene Peters of Fredericksburg; daughters, Cynthia Ann Shaw and husband, Curtis of Beloit, Wis. and Becky Lynn Wenzel of Brodhead, Wis.; son, Anthony Wayne Peters and Wife, Teresa of Brodhead, Wis.; sister, Lucille Logan of Mt. Home, ID; brothers, Paul Peters of Whitesboro and Herman Peters of Lincoln, Kan; six grandchildren, Nicole Shaw, Dwayne Shaw, Elizabeth Shaw, Allen Peters, Justin Wenzel and Elliot Wenzel.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph, Jonathan, Lee, Warren, Leslie, Adolf, Martin and Ed Peters and one sister, Mary Ester.

Mass of Christian Burial was Oct. 22 at 9:30 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Greg Nevlud as celebrant.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Mausoleum.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
