Irene M. Peters, age 80, of Monroe, formerly of Beloit, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at the Monroe Clinic Hospital, Monroe, WI. She was born on April 3, 1937 in Reedsburg, WI, the daughter of Adolph and Mary (Hyland) Kosak. She married Wayne Peters on November 24, 1956. He passed away on October 20, 2004. Irene was a homemaker, loved traveling with her husband in their RV and always took pride in how she looked. She is survived by her children; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, Helen McLain, Ellen Shelton, Arlene Porter (her twin sister) Karen Scott, and a brother, Robert Kosak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4:30 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2017, at St. Jude Catholic Church, Beloit, WI, with Father John Hedrick presiding. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Mausoleum in Kerrville, TX.
