Barbara at the age of 46 with her husband and their children; Ludwig, Katharina, Andreas, Christina, Karl and Magdalena, immigrated to America via the Port of Bremen, Germany on the 20th of May 1902 aboard the SS "Kronprinz Wilhelm" and arrived at Ellis Island, New York on the 28th of May 1902.

The family's final destination was recorded as Scotland, South Dakota to join their friend, Jacob SCHATZ. Later on the SAILER family settled on a homestead in the vicinity of Hazen, Mercer County, North Dakota**---DG Bender (#47380620)
