Johann SAILER at the age of 21 and his younger brother Jacob, immigrated to America via the Port of Hamburg, Germany on the 16th of October 1901 aboard the SS "Deutschland" and arrived at Ellis Island, New York on the 24th of October 1901.
Their final destination recorded as Scotland, South Dakota to join their nephew Math. SAILER.
Johann M SAILER married Magdalenea KUNTZ on the 2nd of April 1905 in Mercer County, North Dakota. This union was blessed with no less than 8 children.

Johann & his younger brother Jacob left for America in 1901. They arrived in South Dakota where they worked for about a year.
After their parents and the rest of the family joined them in mid 1902 they all migrated to Mercer County, ND that same year. There Johann filed a homestead claim on 160 acres of land 5½ miles northeast of Beulah, Mercer County, ND.
After Johann's marriage to Magdalena Kuntz they moved onto Johann's homestead. It was there that all of the Sailer children were born and reared in the Lutheran faith.
Johann was one of the organizers and charter member of the Zion Lutheran Church in 1914. Johann lived on his farm until his death in 1932.
