Family Bible notes her birthday as August 29, 1862 - different from headstone. 1900 census lists her birthday as August 1860, and familysearch.org has her birthday as August 29, 1862.

Married Alexander Fitzpatrick Hughes at Slaughter (Wintergreen) on October 28, 1883.

Some family research indicates her middle name of Eleanor; the middle name in her Bible begins with "H" and could be the word "Henry"; census records include her name as Sallie H. Hughes, and it is on husband's death certificate as Sallie Henry.
