Edgar J. Berrier of Shade Gap died in the Lewistown Hospital at
2:40 p. m. on November 2, 1944. Death was caused by a heart ailment.
He was born on November 21, 1892, In Tell Township, the son of
Alexander Berrier and Carrie Rouse Berrier.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alda (Colledge) Berrier, and by
these sons and daughters: Mrs. Stella Smith, Downingtown, Pa.;
Mrs. Helen Kling, Blairs Mills; Dean Berrier, at home; Cpl. Carl
Berrier, serving overseas; Mrs. LaRue Locke, Miss Wanda Berrier,
Donald Berrier, Maurice Berrier, and Glen Berrier, all at home.
Also surviving are two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. LaRue Flasher,
Phoenixville; Lester Berrier, Mc Keesport; Kenneth Berrier,
Phoenixville, and Mrs. Florence Dowin, Canton, Ohio.
The funeral service will be held at the Salem United Brethren
Church of which Mr. Berrier was a member, on Sunday at 2:30.
The Rev. C. L. Chubb will officiate and interment will be made in the
Cemetery adjoining the church.
