Pioneer Resident Died After Lingering Illness Monday.
Mrs. Betty Minshall, wife of John C. Minshall, died at her home three miles northeast of Hartford on Monday, after a lingering illness resulting from the effects of bronchitis.
Mrs. Minshall was born in Ontario, Canada, November 8, 1840, and at the same place was married to John C. Minshall May 24, 1861. They immediately came to Michigan and settled upon the farm in northeast Hartford which has been their residence up to the time of her death. Besides her husband she leaves three children, Mrs. Flora Butcher and Thomas Minshall of Hartford and Mrs. Emma Minshall of Thamesville, Ont.
The funeral was held at her late home at ten o'clock this morning, Rev. H. A. Lyon officiating, and interment took place in the old cemetery west of the village.
