Mrs. Evans was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church where she was a member of the Senior Citizens Group and Altar Aide Society. She did volunteer work at the former St. Vincent DePaul Store for a number of years.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas O. Evans (wife, Barbara) of Clarksville, MD and David O. Evans (wife, Michelle) of Lafayette; three daughters, Cecilia Ritchie (husband, Robert) of Lafayette, Mary Kathleen Kelly (husband, John) of Lexington, KY, and Diane M. Evans of Lafayette; one sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Sanders Booher of West Lafayette; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation from 5-8 p.m. Friday, with Rosary at 4:45 p.m., at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Father Daniel Gartland officiating.
Burial to follow at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Wabash Center, or Matrix at 935 Mezzanine Drive, Lafayette, IN 47905.
