Mrs. Thornhill, wife of the late Hampton Thornhill, died Sunday, May 22,1994. Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Motte and Ella Miles McClam. She retired from Wentworth Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Salem Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, John and Larry Thornhill, both of Scranton; daughter, Marie Luttrell of Moncks Corner, ShirleyBrown of Scranton and Martha Prosser of Lake City; brothers, R.W. McClam of Effingham and Hybert McClam of Florence; sisters, Gladys Vause of Timmonsville and Emmie Carroway of Cowards; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
