Her visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday afternoon, February 12, 2023, at Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Fisher House Charleston, 150 Wentworth St, Charleston, SC 29401.

Mrs. Luttrell was born July 25, 1939, in Florence, SC, a daughter of Hampton W. Thornhill and Freda Ethelee McClam Thornhill. She traveled with her job to many different places before ending up in St. Stephen, SC, to manage St. Stephen Knitwear. It was here that she attended Farah's Beauty School in the evenings in order to get her cosmetology license and open her own business. Mrs. Luttrell was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

In her spare time, she had many hobbies which she thoroughly enjoyed including Bingo, watching her hummingbirds, flower gardening, crocheting, bowling, and painting. She especially enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, and after her retirement, spending the winter months in Belgrade, FL, camping with her husband. Mrs. Luttrell was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet M. Lee, and two brothers, Larry and Sonny Thornhill. She was the widow of William M. "Bill" Luttrell.

Surviving are three daughters, Joy Rollings of Moncks Corner, Joette Smith and her husband, Willard, of Conway, and Polly Thornhill and her husband, Steve, of Pineville; a son, Max Luttrell of Willow, AK; two sisters, Martha Prosser of Pineville, and Shirley Cooksey and her husband, J.W., of Tallahassee, FL; nine grandchildren, Shane Thornhill, Tate Thornhill, Amanda Luttrell, Dawn Russell, Summer Brasington, Bryon Lee, Joseph Lee, Cory Smith, and Spencer Smith; and twenty great grandchildren.
