Ref: Monticello Express, Monticello, IA, 11 Jul. 1968 -- Funeral services for Charles Everett Lambert, 88, will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Goettsch funeral home. The Rev. John Benjamin Wild will officiate and interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. Lambert died at the John McDonald hospital shortly afternoon Tuesday, July 9, following a brief illness. He was born at Morning Sun, Oct. 21, 1879, the son of William & Virginia (Smith) Lambert.

He received his education in the Monticello schools. He was employed in Monticello for many years as a die maker, being affiliated with Hoag Duster company and Yeoman company. He retired six years ago.

For over 60 years, he served as projectionist for theaters in this community. He was a former member of the Monticello fire department.

He married Anna Jane Gray on August 26, 1903. She preceded him in death in 1929.

On June 30, 1931, he married Blanche Duart Jamieson and the couple made their home in Monticello.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and a step-son.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Coy and Charles F. of Monticello, Mrs. Mark (Violet) Lewis and Hugh of Dubuque; three step-children, Glen Jamieson, Louis Jamieson and Mrs. Ray (Hope) Marolf of Monticello.

Casketbearers are Glenn Lambert, LaVerne Lambert, Everett Lambert, Harry Miller, Peter Miller and Nevins Miller.
