Mr. Lambert died in John McDonald hospital Sunday night, March 30, after several months' illness.
He was born in Monticello on June 16, 1904, the son of Charles and Anna (Grey) Lambert and received his early education in the schools of Monticello.
On June 3, 1926, he married Mae Bartlett and the couple lived in Monticello their entire married life. Mr. Lambert was employed by the Franklin Equipment Co. for more than 47 years and retired because of his health in 1970.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Lambert is survived by his wife and four children; Mrs. Raymond (Doreen) Fluckiger, Monticello; Donald E. Lambert, Marion; Billie Jo Lambert, Marion and Allen E. Lambert, Monticello; five grandchildren and a great-grandson.
He is also survived by his step-mother, Mrs. Blanche Lambert, Monticello and a sister, Mrs. Mark (Violet) Lewis, Dubuque; two brothers, Hugh E. Lambert, Dubuque, and Charles R. Lambert, Monticello; a step-sister, Mrs. Raymond (Hope) Marolf, Monticello and two step-brothers, Glenn Jamieson, Monticello and Louis Jamieson, Iowa Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
Casketbearers were Carl Morning, Gerhard Schmidt, Robert Garien, Clifford Snyder, Orlando Null, and Gerald Rohr.
