Jerome S. "Jerry" Markway, 74, St. Ann, died Dec. 2, 1999, at Missouri Baptist Hospital. He was born in Jefferson City, a son of Katharyn A. "Kay" Mellor, who survives. A Navy veteran, he was a carpenter.
Survivors include: one son, Stephen Markway; four daughters, Mary Sue Vandeven, Theresa Gittemeier, Gerry Anne Meyer and Jill Markway; three brothers, Maurice Markway, Marcellus Markway and Louis Markway, all of Wardsville; one sister, Mary Kay Duckworth, Wardsville; and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Kevin's Church. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. today at Collier's Funeral Home, Bridgeton. Memorials are suggested to the Parkinson's Disease Society, St. Kevin's Catholic Church or the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
