A little booklet called "Baby's Record" was found in a box of family papers, at the home of Vernon Wayne Campbell, in The Dalles, Oregon, 22 May 1976. The information in the book was written in Norm's mother's handwriting, Arlene G. Campbell. Some of the information was as follows.
Baby's Name: Norma LaVaughn
Born: Jan. 19, 1909.
Place of Birth: E. 924 Second Ave., Spokane, Wash.
Baby's Weight: eight pounds
Baby's Parents: John S. Campbell and Arline G. Campbell.
Grandparents: Henry Green Campbell & Hattie M. Campbell; Wm H. Steele & Adaline C. Steele.
Baby's first outing: When three weeks, four days old taken in wagon to our new home on E 1818 Mallon Ave.
Baby's first shoes: Red kid moccasins given by her grandma Emma Campbell.
Baby's first picture: taken when baby was five months old.
Babyhood events: Norma LaVaughn Campbell died October 15, 1909 being at the time of her death 8 months, 25 days old. Her precious form was laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Colville, Wash.
[NOTE: a small photo was found among the papers with the name Norma, on the back.]

NOTE: I wasn't able to find a grave marker for Norma in the Highland Cemetery. A letter from one of her father's sisters, to Arlene, said Norma's gravestone needed to be replaced, and she needed the correct spelling of Norma's name to put on the new stone. The stone may never have been replaced. I searched for Norma's grave near the grave of her grandfather, Henry Green Campbell, and the grave of her father, John Sanford Campbell, but didn't find a gravemarker for Norma.
