In 1933 Luella was married to Harry Woessner at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls by the Rev. Friedrich. The couple later moved to Alexandria, where their two children, Harry Jr. and MarVella were born.
During the next 30 years, Harry worked at Alexandria Co-Op Creamery and Luella was a music teacher, as well as a Sunday school teacher, at Zion Lutheran Church.
