Mrs. Mabel Bell Line, 814 Ceredo Avenue, West Chester, widow of David William Line, died on Saturday in the West Chester County Hospital. She was 87 years old.

Mrs. Line was born on Nov 3, 1880, and formerly lived at 525 North Hanover Street. She was a daughter of the late Samuel and Ella E. Cornman Eckels.

She was a member of First Presbyterain (sic) Church, Carlisle, and was a teacher In the Sunday School for many years. She also was a member and past matron of Old Bellaire Chapter No. 315, Order of Eastern Star and the Young Women's Christian Association.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Fray, West Chester, with whom she lived; a sister, Mrs. Raymond Melester, Lancaster, and four granddaughters.

The funeral service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 219 North Hanover Street. The Rev. Russell M. Weer, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be In Westminster Mausoleum. Friends may call this evening at the funeral home.
