CARLISLE SPRINGS, January 23, 1880; pg. 5

Quite a number of invited guests assembled at the church at this place, this morning, to witness the nuptials of Mr. Samuel Eckels, of New Kingston, and Miss Ella E. Cornman, of Carlisle Springs. On the arrival of the wedding party they were escorted to the altar by the ushers, Mr. John Monyer and Mr. Herman Brown, where they were received by Rev. G.E. Addams, of Carlisle, pastor of the church, who immediately performed the beautiful marriage ceremony of the church. The bridal couple were attended by Mr. James Noaker, as groomsman, and Miss Bessie Eckels, as bridesmaid. Miss Annie S. Addams presided at the organ, and rendered appropriate wedding marches. After the ceremony the party left for the railroad station. The affair was a novel one her, and all seem delighted with it. The happy couple bear with them many sincere wishes for success and happiness in their new relations.
