I've found several different spellings of his first name, Oklela, Okela, Oklala, etc. I'd love to hear the origin, of his name. I have used the spelling from the Dunlap Family Record, 1775 - 1897, lent by my dear cousin, JMH. Also in 1981 correspondence, Margaret S. Seebert referred to Uncle Oak, Oklala Beverlin Dunlap. His gravestone says Oklela, so that's good enough for me. The John T McKee bible also says Oklela Beverlin Dunlap.
