Funeral services for Dean E. Bowe, 45, a life-long resident of Northfield and area communities were held Wednesday at St. Mathias church, Hampton at 9:00 o'clock with the Rev. Father Gillen of New Trier officiating. Burial was made in the cemetery adjoining the church. Honorary pallbearers were Frank Schweck, John Nicholai, John Wollmering, Robert Rother, Ferdinand Endres and John Tix all of the Hampton community and active bearers were Nicholas Ludwig. Joseph Tix, Ben Rother, and Bruce Duff of Hampton community and Paul Neil and Nicholas Lindenfelser of the Northfield area. Dean Everett Bowe was born August 17, 1909 in Sciota Township, Dakota County, the son of Lucius and Agnes Cleland Bowe. He attended the Northfield schools and lived in the Dakota county community his entire lifetime. On October 23, 1935 he was married to Marie Tix of Hampton at St. Mathias Church in Hampton. He has been employed at the Armour plant in South St. Paul for the past five years. He had recently lived at 229 South Concord St.in South St. Paul. His body was found by three Inver Grove hunters in a side-channel of the Mississippi River, one-quarter mile south of the Inver Grove Bridge on Monday afternoon, November 22. Death was attributed to drowning. There were no marks of violence on the body according to the coroners report. Mr. Bowe is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Lucius Bowe of Northfield, his widow, five brothers including Daniel of Welch; Frank of Northfield; Robert and William of Los Angeles, Calif., and Donald of South St. Paul and one sister, Mrs. Richard Boudreau (Catherine) of Austin.
