Funeral services for Mrs. L. R. Bowe, 70, who passed away at the Northfield Hospital Wednesday, Nov. 23, after a short illness were held Monday, Nov. 28, in Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Dundas. The Rev. Victor E. Pinkham officiated. Burial was made in Groveland Cemetery, Dundas. Agnes Cleland was born in Dundas on Oct. 26, 1885, the daughter of Frank D. [sic] and Martha Dixon Cleland. She spent most of her lifetime in the Northfield area making her home on a farm north of Northfield after her marriage. She is survived by her husband, L. R. Bowe, who is living with son Dan in Welch; sons Frank of Northfield; Robert and William of Oakland, Calif., and Donald of South St. Paul and one daughter, Mrs. Richard Boudreau of Austin. There are also two brothers Ed Cleland of Los Angeles, Calif., and Wilfred Cleland of Bowling Green, Ky.; and three sisters Mrs. Ralph Rogers of Delano, Calif., Mrs. Esther Burlingame of Minneapolis and Mrs. Fred T. Neil of Randolph; an uncle H. N. Cleland, who lives at the Minnesota Odd Fellows Home in Northfield. She was preceded in death a year ago by a son, Dean, who lived at Hampton.
