Miss Caroline E. Hamblock, 78, passed away at the Sterling Public Hospital at 11:24 o'clock Sunday night after an illness of several "years" duration, the last month of which she was a patient in the hospital. Funeral services will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic church at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning, wih burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hamblock family home this evening, where members of the Altar and Rosary Society of Sacred Heart will recite the Rosary Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock.

Miss Hamblock was born in Dixon July 9, 1869, a daughter of Peter and Josephine Hamblock, and moved to Sterling with her parents in her childhood. Her home was at the First Avenue address from that time.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Theresa Beien, of Sterling, two brothers, Henry and Carl, both at home, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and three brothers.
