Sylvester C. Reed,died Friday in his home in Big Run after an illness of several weeks. A resident of that community the past 19 years, he formerly lived in Sykesville where he conducted a general merchandise store for many years.
He was born in Grange April 22, 1872, a son of Thomas & Barbara Mauk Reed. His marriage to Mae Brown, took place June 17, 1897.
Surviving are his wife & three brothers,
~ Albert Reed, of Albion;
~ Parker Reed, of DuBois,
~ Lott H. Reed, of Sykesville.
Friends were be received the home in Big Run, where services were be held Monday afternoon. Rev. R. C. Brooks officiated and interment was in McClure Cemetery, Big Run.
