Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. in the Mohney Funeral Chapel in DuBois. The Rev. Carl Ellenberger will officiate and interment will be in Morningside Cemetery in DuBois.
Mr. Reed was born October 26, 1878 in Grange, a son of Thomas and Barbara Mauk Reed and was married to Lethia Watt who died in 1961.
He was a retired blacksmith and farmer. A member of the Church of God in Grange, he attended the C. & MA Church in DuBois.
Surviving are two daughters and four sons, Mrs. Florence Shaffer, Mrs. Irma Moore and Everett Reed of DuBois; Glenn and Frank Reed of Punx`y R.D., and Marvin Reed of St. Petersburg, Fla. He leaves also 16 grandchildren.
