MORGAN Rufus E. (Bill) Morgan, 78, of Harrison, died on Thursday, July 18, 2002, at his home. Mr. Morgan was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area. He was a faithful member of Lakeway Baptist Church for many years. He was retired from Heatec and a longtime employee of Mississippi Valley Structural Steel. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Pruitt Morgan. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Bowman Morgan; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Deanne Morgan, Jacky and Cheryl Morgan, Bill and Bettye Morgan, all of Harrison; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and step-children. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Lakeway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Carl Nolan and the Rev. Ralph Elder officiating. Burial will be at Old McDonald Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Friday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
