SENECA ROCKS, W.Va. — Rose Virginia (Champ) Vance, 81, of Seneca Rocks, W.Va. died Saturday, Feb., 24, 2007, at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, W.Va. She was born June 30, 1925, in Seneca Rocks, and was the daughter of the late Andrew Champ and Ethel (Alt) Champ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Vance, on April 11, 1999; one son, Harold Gene Vance; four sisters and seven brothers. Surviving are one grandson, Jason Vance of Columbia; two sisters, Thelma Rohrbaugh of Petersburg, W.Va. and Ruby Dolly of Medley, W.Va; two brothers, Dayton Champ of Lahmansville, W.Va. and Darrell Champ, resident of Grant County Nursing Home, Petersburg, W.Va., and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home. The funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harold Cullers officiating. Interment will be in Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, W.Va.
